Leadville, Colorado

In the heart of Colorado, tucked in a high mountain valley and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, is Leadville, a city rich in history, abundant in outdoor recreation, and home to down-to-earth residents. Leadville’s fame is often attributed to its elevation. At 10,200 feet, it’s the highest incorporated city in North America. Once the second largest city in Colorado and a contender for the state capital, Leadville’s treasure is now found in its 70-square-block historic district where Victorian architecture reigns and stories of the wild west come alive. With thousands of miles of national forests and public lands at their fingertips, the over 2,600 Leadville residents are avid outdoor enthusiasts. Without the frills of large ski towns or the glitz of over-priced mountain resorts, locals play hard, just as the earliest pioneers did. All sorts of people are drawn to Leadville. There are those who seek adventure, want to get away from the hustle and bustle of larger cities, or need the peace and quiet the wilderness provides.

The Church Plant / Replant

Leadville became of the most popular places in Colorado to relocate during the Covid pandemic. Now with the ability to work remote and chasing after adventure, people young and old having been moving to Leadville to seek after something new. The community is ready and ripe for new gospel ministry.

The are two ministry opportunities in Leadville. Currently, an existing and dying church is considering using their facilities to host a replant of the church to bring in renewed youth and life. There is also the opportunity to plant a new church in Leadville on the other side of the town.

I'm interested in bringing a ministry or mission team to serve in Leadville.

I'm interested in being a part of planting the church as the Lead Planter or core team.

I want to hear more about other ministries, towns, and opportunities in the high country.
