A Bit About Me

Originally from Texas, my wife, Tara, and I have served in various ministries in Texas. We are excited to move with our 1-year-old son to Colorado in order to plant a church in the high country.

Education

I have served in most areas of church ministry and witnessed the need for a unified strategy of discipleship across all ministries with the local church. I originally attended seminary with the goal of serving with the IMB in long-term overseas missions. However, through prayer and preparation, the Lord led my wife and I to pursue cross-cultural church planting in North America. My time working for the non-profit, Love INC, has prepared me to combine local ministry outreach with sharing the life-changing Gospel.

In addition to my formal seminary education and training in local churches in Texas, my wife and I have begun a 1-year church planting apprenticeship. We began our apprenticeship with our home church, First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches, TX. We will be completing our apprenticeship with Valley Life Church in Fraser, CO as we begin to get settled in the high-country of Colorado and start the beginning phases of establishing our core team and planting our church, Valley Life Church in Kremmling, CO.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Theological Studies with a concentration in Cross-Cultural Missions from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.

My Passion:

My wife and I have dreamed about and prayed for the opportunity to share the gospel and plant churches in unreached places and among unreached people groups. While we originally envisioned that this would lead us to international missions, we could not be more excited that the Lord is fulfilling this calling in us by taking us to Kremmling, CO!
